Many images of late 1941 shows LaGG-3s of 44 IAP, Leningrad area, and are said to be taken on one session.
All these aircrafts have some interesting characteristics in common:
  • the characteristic style of numbers;
  • the lack of fuselage star;
  • the characteristic striped camouflage, differing little from aircraft to aircraft;
  • the white spinner (excluding the rear plate, black);
  • being of early production (series 1/2/3).

Here is a general drawing of one representative aircraft.

These aircrafts were of very early production. Note the oval shape of the wingroot supercharger intakes, well different from the reptangular shape of mid production aircrafts.
