German captured example 1

This profile represents an example captured by Germans and tested perhaps in Rechlin air base in Germany in late 1941.
The example is one of 22 captured in near flyable condition in the first days of war.

Its charachteristics are:

early type, without slats, without radio gear;
painted with the original Soviet colors AII green and AII light blue; the paints on the wooden rear fuselage and wooden wing outer panels should be a bit darker than on the metallic forward fuselage, a characteristic often observed in early all-green MiGs;
the propeller blades should be alluminium on their front side and black on their rear side, except for their roots, alluminium as standard;
the aircraft is overpainted with crude yellow identification bands and German national markings; note that the fuselage band was crudely and obliquely hand-painted;
although the image is not clear, I would guess that the propeller point and the lower side of wingtips are yellow too;
the original red star on the fuselage (and probably on wing uppersurfaces) is still visible, probably repainted with dark green 71;
a lighter repainting, and a crude thin 1, look visible on the stabilizator.

The example 1 is very similar to the aircrafts of the photocolor on the left, but repainted with more complete German markings.
